Written in a humanistic script in Italian by an unidentified hand, probably in Italy, and ruled for 2 columns of 33 lines, with colored initials in blue and red having ornate pen flourishes in mauve.
Francesco degli Stabili (1269-1327) was known as Cecco d'Ascoli.
This MS. differs from other MSS and printed text collated by Pasquale Rosario (ed. 1916) by its closing lines, " ... deo reino cha potentia infinita sine dia pace nel eterna vita."
Bound in 18th-cent. half sheepskin and boards.
In a protective tray case, 31 cm.
Belonged to Sir Thomas Phillipps (MS 4573, spine label).
