Foliation: Paper, 96; [1-96]; modern foliation in pencil, irregular contemporary foliation and pagination in ink, upper outer corners.
Layout: Written in 3 columns with vertical bounding lines in lead; the small column on the left with the transaction number, the large central column with the name of the counterpart and a brief description of the transaction, and the small one on the right with the amount of the transaction. Memoranda written in long lines.
Script: Written in a cursive script, in the hand of Niccolo de' Medici.
Watermark: Similar to Briquet, Echelle 5922 (Siena, 1495-1524), but with shorter, parallel sides.
Binding: Contemporary vellum, no. 15 on spine; the heading Debitori e creditori e ricordi, no. 191 and letter A with decorative penwork on upper cover; lower cover with remnants of leather ties wraps around upper cover; decorative leatherwork on spine.
Origin: Written in Italy between 1567 (f. 1v) and 1590 (f. 46r).
