The name of Iohannes Geuenstey on f. 40v may represent the person who originally took the notes rather than the scribe. Belonged to Leander van Ess, with his signature and "417" in pale red ink on f. 1 of the manuscript. Sold by him to Sir Thomas Phillipps; with Phillipps' printed paper label on the upper spine, "88" corrected by hand to "288," the number of this book in the Catalogus... - Keyword:
