Catchword survives in the gutter of f. 15v, as well as the quire signature in the center lower margin, "iius"; one other quire signature, "xii," on f. 69v for what is now quire 9. 30-44 long lines; no ruling visible but prick marks along outer margin. Other Decoration: Red initials, 5- and 4-line, with void designs on the initial itself and with leafy tendrils, e.g. ff. lv, 86, 107v, 121v. Although assigned here to England, it is possible that the manuscript was copied in the Netherlands. Copied by several scribes; the text on ff. 121v-155, is possibly somewhat later. On f. 1, added note of 38 lines in a very small, nearly illegible hand on the assumption of the Virgin. Also on f. 1, 4 verses, "Nunc quoque christe pie cui claustra pudica marie/Pervia manserunt miroquo modo... Assigned Date: s. XIImed. Input into Digital Scriptorium by: C. W. Dutschke, 7/27/2012. Written in the Netherlands, or possibly in England, towards the middle of the twelfth century; ff. 121v-155 may be somewhat later. Belonged to the Cistercian abbey of Aulne in the diocese of Liège.
