Other Decoration: The initials in both parts of the text, that by John Waller and that by the other main writer, are by the same person; the flourishing has not been added to the section of the manuscript written by Waller. On f. 9, the rubric ending, "Que carte transcripte erant per manus [sic] domini Iohannis Waller Sacriste de Bello. Anno Regni Regis henrici quarti post conquestum decimo et undecimo," offering the internal date of 1408-1410 for part of the codex. John Waller, who copied this section (ff. 9r-v, the following small strip and 21-78v), was the sacristan of Battle Abbey from 1408 until ca. 1417; he... Assigned Date: s. XVin.
