- There is a square- or cross-shaped space in the middle of each folio, devoid of text, but in the center of each folio is a small hole, a reference to a style of binding used with palm leaf manuscripts. Some of the spaces have small drawings of a flower or circle in them.
Mistakes covered over in yellow or blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout; vertical margins marked with quadruple black line.
