Origin: Written in Vienna from 1572 to 1574 (f. 234r).
Script: Written in a German cursive script, possibly by multiple hands.
Binding: Contemporary vellum, rebound (Zacour-Hirsch), with partially intact leather ties.
Decoration: Rubrics often written in a more formal book script; initials of paragraphs usually with pen flourishes.
Foliation: Paper, i (later paper) + 240 + i (later paper); [3-9], 10-92, [i], 93-234, [235-241]; contemporary foliation in ink, upper right recto, modern foliation in pencil, lower right recto. Folios 1-2 are missing; occasionally numbers have been lost or are not legible.
Layout: Written in 2 columns, with wider right column containing main text, and left column reserved for rubrics, signatures, notes on outcomes, insertions, and corrections.
