Foliation: Parchment and paper, i (contemporary parchment wrapper) + 84 + i (contemporary parchment wrapper); [1-84], modern foliation in pencil, upper left recto. Layout: Written in 32-30 long lines; lists at the end of the Avigdor translation of Alberti presented in 2 columns (f. 66r) and 3 columns (f. 66v-68v) of 35-36 lines. Script: Written in Italian semi-cursive Hebrew script, with headings and marginal numbers in square Hebrew script. Binding: Modern library cloth; former parchment wrapper bound within modern binding. Origin: Written in Italy in the second half of the 14th or the 15th century. Formerly owned by the Polish scholar and bibliophile S. J. Halberstam, ms. 406 (inside former upper cover, f. 1r, Ha no. on Montefiore labels). Sold as part of Halberstam's library to Judith Montefiore College (Ramsgate, England), after 1887, ms. 441 (library stamps, f. 1r, inside former lower cover; labels on spine, inside upper cover). Placed on deposit at Jews' College (London) as part of the Montefiore Endowment, 1899. Sold at auction at Sotheby's (New York) as part of a collection of manuscripts from the Montefiore Endowment, 27 Oct. 2004, lot 326, to Lawrence J. Schoenberg. Deposit by Lawrence J.
