Origin: Written in the Timurid Empire in eastern Persia, now Iran, ca. 1507 (based on date of horoscope diagram, f. 7v).
Binding: 19th-century light brown leather with faded, gold-tooled frame.
Decoration: 6 colored diagrams (eastern half of a double-page world map, f. 1r; structure and arrangement of seven climatic zones, f. 2v; geographical relationship of various cities to Mecca, f. 3r; rainbow predictions, f. 4v; setting and rising of the moon, f. 5r; half of a double-page horoscope diagram, f. 7v) and 8 decorated tables (ikhtiyārāt for the days of the solar month, f. 1v-2r...
Layout: Textblock border-ruled in gold with vertical margins extended to upper edge of the page.
Script: Written in nastaʻlīq in black ink; pointed, with headings in naskh script.
