This manuscript is likely Kashmiri in origin and most likely dates to the 19th century.
There are a number of illustrated miniatures with scenes from the Mahābhārata, the titles and opening text of four of the five texts have thick borders and are decorated with floral or shell patterns.
Title from the colophons of four of the texts (f. 128r-v, 162v, 188r-v, 204v); the Mahābhārata is alternatively referred to as the Śatasahasrasaṃhitā in the colophons of four of the texts (f. 128r-v, 162v, 188r-v, 204v).
