Layout: Written in 12 long lines; catchwords every verso, lower left; border-ruled. Script: Written in naskh in black ink; pointed, vocalized. Decoration: Faint traces of a frontispiece with central shamsah (f. 2r); dual-page illuminated first opening in blue and gold containing sūrat al-Fātiḥah (f. 2v-3r). Polychrome illuminated headpiece (f. 3v) at the top of the beginning of sūrat al-Baqarah with the text of the full opening on cloudbands with gold, foliate marginal fill (f. 3v-4r). Surah headings in gold; gold roundels mark verse... Origin: Item is undated; perhaps produced in the 17th or 18th century. Shelfmark: UTS MS Arab. 2. Square seal (f. 403v).
