Layout: Written in 14 long lines; catchwords every verso, lower left; border-ruled.
Script: Written in naskh in black ink; pointed and vocalized; last two pages written in taʻlīq in black ink; pointed.
Decoration: Dual-page illuminated first opening in gold with blue, polychrome vines and leaves (f. 1r-2v); sūrah headings in white ink on gold background set into a blue rectangle with polychrome floral fill on either end; finispiece of gold leaves and vines around colophon (f. 299r); readings in red.
Origin: Copy completed in 1011 A.H. (1602 or 1603 CE) by ʻAlāʼ al-Dīn al-Tabrīzī (f. 299r).
