Some marginalia in nastaʻlīq; pointed. Decoration: Textblock border-ruled in gold (1v-2r); rubrications in red; red dots punctuate text on some leaves. Origin: The item is undated, perhaps copied in the 17th or 18th century. Shelfmark: MS Or 395 - FOLIO. Formerly owned by David Eugene Smith (bookplate inside front cover). According to the Encyclopaedia of Islam, Second edition online, this is a plagiarism of Ibn Ḥamdān's Jāmiʻ al-funūn wa-salwat al-maḥzūn; see under Ibn al-Wardī (Nad̲j̲m al-Dīn Aḥmad b. Ḥamdān b. S̲h̲abīb al-Ḥarrānī al-Ḥanbalī). Stamp of a former owner repeatedly stamped (f. [0]r-1r, 15r, 45r, 57r, 80r).
