ff. 1-42: The image on f. 19r combines the Crucifix incongruously in the branches of the Tree of Knowledge, with Christ gazing down on Adam as he bites the apple, showing both elements of devotions to the wounds of Christ and the Fall of Man. It is an unusual visual link between the Fall and Redemption of mankind.
