Collation: Parchment, fol. ii (parchment) + 155 + ii (parchment) ; binding precludes collation ; modern arabic pencil foliation in the lower left corner of each recto, begins with "1" on folio 13, uses "73" twice, so reaches 142 instead of 155, those numbers used in this record for reference.
Layout: Single column, 13 lines. Bounding and writing lines in brown plummet.
Script: Written in a gothic bookhand, rubrics in gold leaf.

Binding: Bound in 1854 in blind-stamped dark-green calf over boards, spine gilt in compartments, metal clasps with tortoise-shell inlays, gilt filigree turn-ins, marbled paper pastedowns and conjugate flyleaves, all edges gilt, blue ribbon bookmark, by Duru (signed "Duru 1854" on fol. i verso), gilt fillet board edges.
Origin: Written in northern France in the third quarter of the 14th century, for the use of a female patron (see portait in the margin of fol. 9). For the use of Metz.
