Manuscript on parchment, blind-ruled, written in black ink and rubricated. First three and last two leaves blank, used mostly for pen trials containing snatches of phrases in Ethiopic or names.
Signatures: i2, 18, 2-610, 78, 8-910, 1010 (−1+1), 11-1310, 148 (−1+1), 158-2 (last 2 leaves cancelled), i2−1 (first leaf cancelled)
Written in black ink in "räqiq" hand (in use from the mid 17th to the late 19th century) in 23-24 lines. The neatness of the "räqiq" hand and some letter shapes suggest an early 19th century date for this manuscript.
Rubricated throughout, prickings preserved, principal text divisions marked by a row of alternating black and red dots and also with black, red, purple, or green threads sewn through the top pricking hole of the respective leaf.
Foliation added in pencil including flyleaves 1-142, in the existing foliation 138 is repeated. - Keyword:
