Decoration: Two 2-line initials in white and gray edged with burgundy, enclosing a floral motif, on a gold ground edged in red; paraphs and line-fillers in gold on blue or red grounds. Origin: Written in France during the early 16th century. Dawson's Bookshop, Los Angeles, CA; Vassar College: in pencil on lower margins, 'Book of Hours, French, 16th century' on recto and 'Dawson Sept. '48' on verso.
