Layout: Written in 17 lines; frame-ruled.
Script: Written in a regular textura scripts.
Decoration: 2-line champie initials in blue, gold, and red; boarder the height of text of each recto, with fruit and flowers on geometric panels of gold and stylized acanthus in blue and gold on plain background.
Origin: Written in France, perhaps Paris, approximately 1475.
Responsory and versicle of the 8th lesson in the Office of the Dead indicate the Use of Paris; Dawson's Bookshop, Los Angeles, CA (before September 1948); in pencil at Vassar College: 'Book of Hours, French, 15th century' in lower margin and '3' in lower right corner of recto and 'Dawson Sept' 48 [dollars]3.--' and '543' in lower margin of verso. - Keyword:
