Title from statement on title page (Hierinnen seint schöne ausgezogne und christliche Gebette begriffen, f. 1r).
Collation: Parchment, 22; 16 2-54; modern foliation in pencil, lower right recto. Link to collation model at end of record.
Script: Written in Gothic textualis script, with the first words of titles and prayers in larger script with more elaborate initials.
Decoration: Strapwork border in black ink and strapwork initial in red ink on title page (f. 1r); one full-page foliate border in black and red ink with ruling in red ink (f. 14r); strapwork initials (2 to 6 lines in height) and foliate vignettes in black or red ink throughout; some words in larger script and initials in red throughout.
Binding: 16th-century calf, gilt stamped, on three supports (Venator & .Hanstein).
Origin: Probably written in Nuremberg, Germany (home of the Fürleger family (Venator & Hanstein)), not after 1579 (ownership inscription, inside front cover).
Formerly owned by Bartholomeus Fürleger (inscription in ink, dated 1579, inside front cover).
Formerly owned by Paulus Conrad Fürleger (inscription in ink, f. 22v, possibly to be identified with Nuremberg merchant Paulus Fürleger the Elder, 1530-1604 (Venator & Hanstein)).
