Foliation: Modern pagination added in pencil, upper outer corners.
Layout: Written in 15 long lines.
Script: Written in maghribī in dark brown ink; pointed and vocalized.
Decoration: Illuminated polychrome marginal medallions showing text divisions; sūrah titles in red and green; green and yellow points throughout the text; vocalizations in red, readings in blue.
Binding: Red leather over pasteboard with flap (Type II); blind stamped central diamond with blind tooled border and frame; plain paper doublure cut into a zigzag pattern along the outside edges.
Origin: The item is undated and unsigned, but was probably copied in North Africa in the late 19th century; machine made paper.
