Written in medium small nastaʻlīq in black and red ink. Red dot text-stops. Thin light biscuit paper with laid lines and fibers visible ; fibers visible on the surface ; frame-ruled. The first fol. (omitted in the modern foliation) is a later added sheet of European paper. Fol. 1 in the modern foliation consists of a sheet of paper pasted on the recto... Origin: Copy completed on 29 Shaʻbān 996 [July 24, 1588] by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad Ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥīm al-Bayrūtī al-Ḥusaynī (colophon, fol. 325b). Several ownership statements on fol. 1a, 2a, two in the name of Ismāʻīl ibn Muḥammad, known as -WḤK ḤLM zade; one obliterated ; one in the name of ʻUmar ibn al-marḥūm [---] al-Madanī (obliterated) ; seal in the name of Muṣtafá Ṣidqī.
