Physical description: 19 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red; yāʼ for alif maqṣūrah; finla yāʼ dotted. Dark cream paper, soft, with laid lines visible. Fol. 1 is a later addition. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a, including one reading: "Ḥājj Ibrāhīm 1096". According to catchword and quire composition, apparently two leaves wanting after fol. 9 and lacuna...
Collation: Paper, fol. * ; i (later added fly-leaf, with inscriptions) 110 (-1 at beginning of quire; 1 leaf wanting at end of quire) 210 (1 leaf wanting at beginning of quire) 310 4 (only 4 leaves extant) 5-1310 1412 (+1 at end of quire) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf ; from fol. 19a on, quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form: "Thālith kurrās" or "Thāminah".
Origin: According to colophon, copied by Yaḥyá ibn Aḥmad ibn ʻAlī ibn Abī Bakr ... al-Shāfiʻī al-Ashʻarī al-Karakī, and completed on Friday 6 Jumādá al-Ūlá 763, which corresponds to 4 Ādhār [March 1362] (fol. 135b).
