Ms. codex. Title from title page (fol. 1a). 31 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red. The names of the animals discussed repeated in red on the margins. Thick light cream paper with no lines visible. The original two first fol. have been glued together (see mention "Dāl" on the upper margin of fol. 1b). Collation notes. A few notes by later hands on smaller pieces of paper pasted or placed between... Copy completed on Saturday 6 Jumādá al-Awwal(!) 869 (colophon, fol. 209a). The rest of the original text is lost (lower edge of the fol. repaired). Two ownership statements on fol. 1a, one signed al-Ḥājj al-Shaykh ʻAbd Allāh, the other obliterated, dated 1051? H. [1641 or 2]. Two seals on fol. 109a, one with the inscription: "Tawakkaltu ʻalá Allāh 983 [1575 or 6]". Three reading statements dated 1102 [1690 or 91] on the fly-leaf before the lower cover (fol. 212b), signed al-Ḥājj Aḥmad ibn al-ḥājj Sulaymān al-ʻAlwānī, al-Sayyid Zayn...
