Title from preamble of text (fol. 6a, l. 7-8).
Physical description: 27 lines per page. Written in small naskh in black ink. The commented text is written in red. The text is framed within two lines in red ink (gold outlined in black on fol. 3b-4a). Collation notes on the margin. Gloss by a later hand on some leaves towards the middle of the copy. Fol. 1 is a later added fly-leaf, with the recto dyed in blue. Verses of poetry on fol. 1a...
Decoration: Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) on fol. 3b, executed in gold leaf , red and black ink.
Origin: According to colophon, copied by Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Ṣāliḥ ibn Ḥasan Pāshā al-Rūmī al-Dimashqī. The copy (taḥbīr) was completed on the evening of Thursday 20 Ṣafar 1160 [March 3, 1747] (fol. 496b).
Ownership statement in the name of al-sayyid al-ḥājj Muḥammad Qudsī Muftī Zādah, dated Dh[ū] a[l-Qaʻdah] 1179 [1766] on fol. (2bis)a. This is repeated on fol. 3a, with the name reading Muḥammad Qudsī Ibn Ḥasan al-Muftī ... al-maʻrūf bi-Ḥalīm Zādah, dated 1175 H. [1761 or 2], with seal reading "Muḥammad Qudsī 1171".
