Ms. codex. Title from title page (fol. 2a). Physical description: 23 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red for entries and text stops. Yāʼ for alif maqṣūrah ; final yāʼ dotted. Dark cream paper, hardly translucid, with laid lines visible. Fol. 1 and 40 are later additions (European paper with watermark). Collation notes on the margin. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a-2a, including verses of poetry. Collation: Paper, fol. 40 ; i (later added fly-leaf with inscriptions; European paper; fol. 1 in the modern foliation) 110 (+2 at beginning of quire) 2-310 44 (+ 2 at beginning of quire) i (later added fly-leaf; European paper). Inscription in Arabic numerals on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "26". Certificate of audition (samāʻ) and ijāzah after the colophon (fol. 39b). Origin: According to colophon, copied by Yūsuf Ibn Yaḥyá ibn Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf al-Kirmānī al-Shāfiʻī (see Sakhāwī, al-Ḍawʼ al-lāmiʻ, vol. 10, p. 337), and completed on 17 Rajab 860 [June 21, 1456] (fol. 39b).
