European paper. The headings are repeated in red on the margins (often inverted). catchword on the verso of each leaf. Short inscription on fol. 1a. Spine label (vertical), with inscription reading: "86" (in Arabic and Western numerals). Origin: Copied by Ibrāhīm ibn ʻAlī at the end of Rabīʻ al-Awwal 968 [Dec. 1560] (colophon, fol. 44b). Erased inscriptions, probably ownership statements, on fol. 2a. Acquired by Robert Garrett from Brill, Leyden, 1925, from the books of Murād Bey al-Bārūdī (Beirut).
