Physical description: 25 lines per page; written in small naskh in black on glazed, laid European paper. Fol. 21-34, 45-48 are replacements and additions on machine-made paper. Rubrication and catchwords; numerous marginal notes. Some staining. With insert consisting of an incomplete chart of the mosques and schools discussed in the work.
Origin: End of Muḥarram 1140 H [September 1727], by Muḥammad ibn ʻUmar al-Maydānī (fol. 44b).
On fol. 1a, stamp of Ḥasan dated 1282 H [1865 or 6].
