Ms. codex. Title from beginning of text (fol. 7b, l. 12). Physical description: 20-21 lines per page. Written in medium small casual taʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Marginal annotations. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starts with "1" on fol. 8a). Several inscriptions on fol. 3a. On fol. 3b: Table of contents apparently by the same hand as the main text. Fol. 4-6 are later added European paper... Two spine labels (vertical), with inscriptions reading respectively "Rawḍat al-daqāʼiq fi sharḥ al-ḥadāʼiq wa-huwa Sharḥ Mukhtaṣar al-Rashīd al-Waṭ[wāṭ]" (in Arabic script) and "321" (in Arabic and Western numerals). Origin: Copied by the author, Shaykh Maḥmūd ibn Adʹham at the end of Rajab 899 [May 1494] (colophon, fol. 129b). Ownership statement on fol. 1a in the name of ... Muṣṭafá Efendi. Acquired by Robert Garrett from Brill, Leiden, 1925, from the books of Murād Bey al-Bārūdī (Beirut).
