Written in black ink with use of red for the headings, decorations of verses and re-inking of letters of important words (e.g. lām of "qāla"). Glazed oriental paper with vertical laid lines visible. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Collated with the autograph (collation statements on fol. 11b, 20b, 29b, 39a, 49a, 55a, 63b, 70b, 79a). On fol. 1a: note on the title and... Fol. i and ii are later fly-leaves contemporary with the repair of fol. 1. Copied by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Kutubī al-Miṣrī al-Shāfiʻī on Tuesday, 17 Muḥarram 880. Several reading statements, one in the name of al-Sayyid ʻAbd al-Qādir ibn al-Sayyid Ḥussayn al-Samarjī al-Bāshī in Ṭarābulus al-Shām (fol. (i)a ; one in the name of Muḥammad ibn Ibrahīm al-Marshadī al-Mālikī, etc. (fol. 79a-b). Several ownership statements, one dated 1081 [1670-71] (fol. (i)a) ; one illegible on fol.
