Ms. codex. Title from title page (fol. 2a, 3a in the modern foliation ; later addition). Written in two columns, with 11 lines to the page. Medium small naskh in black ink with some use of red. The two first leaves are later additions in European paper with watermark. The text on the original leaves starts on fol. 3a (4a in the modern foliation). Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (starting with "1" on the free endpaper). Worm-eaten. Extremely fragile. Two spine labels (vertical), with inscriptions, respectively "al-Ṣādih wa-al-bāghim" in Arabic script and "248" in Arabic and Western numerals. Copy completed in Muḥarram 682 [Apr. 1283] (colophon, fol. 117a (118a in the modern foliation). Ownership statement dated [12?]64 on fol. 2a (3a in the modern foliation). Acquired by Robert Garrett from Brill, Leiden, 1925, from the books of Murād Bey al-Bārūdī (Beirut).
