Ms. codex. Title from inscription on fol. 2a. Physical description: 25 lines per page. Written in medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for "qawluh". The text is framed within a single line in red (gold outlined in black on fol. 2b, with basmalah in gold. Light cream paper with laid lines and a few chain lines (in groups of two) visible; glossy. Ḥāshiyah on the margin. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a-2a, including ownership... Origin: The date 783 H. is written at the end of the text. This appears to be the date of completion of the text or of the copy of the exemplar, and not of this copy. See the note on fol. 195b, left margin, apparently in the same hand as the main text, mentioning the date of birth and death of the author (Jurjān (nowadays: Astarabād), 740 - Shīrāz, 816). Several ownership statements and impression of two seals on fol. 1a-2a. Acquired by Robert Garrett from the books of Murād Bey al-Bārūdī (Beirut), 1925.
