Ms. codex. Title from title page (fol. 1a). The title on title page is by a later hand, and reads : "al-Juzʾ al-thāmin min al-Iklīl". 21 to 23 lines per page. Written in a poor medium small naskh in black ink with use of red for the entries and punctuation. The entries are often repeated on the margin. European glazed paper. Fol. 8 is a later replacement. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Some notes in several hands in the margin. The pages have been trimmed so that part of the marginalia is lost. Collation notes by the... There are two colophons: one on fol. 49a, dated 6 Yawm al-Khamīs 6 [Dhū] al-Qaʻdah [written on "Shawwāl(?)"; 6 Shawwāl is a Thursday] 1117, and the other on fol. 64a, dated 13 [Dhū] al-Qaʻdah 1117. Copied by Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Naṣīr al-Ṭāhir on 13 [Dhū] al-Qaʻdah 1117 (colophon, fol. 64a). Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1925, from the books of Murād Bey Bārūdī (Beirut).
