Collation: Paper ; fol. 148 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 23 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red and blue.
Description: Rubricated ; MS in good condition. Rare.
Decoration: Both works in the collection have illuminated titlepieces. Shawr al-ṭawīyah has the title written in beige ink with an infill of blue and white, corners in red, and a small roundel in the margin (fol. 1b). al-Irshād wa-al-tibyān has the author's name with an infill of blue and white surrounded by geometric framing in red, green, blue and beige with a small roundel in the margin...
Origin: Probably from the early XlXth century.
Signature: ʻUmar ibn Balqāsim ibn Abī al-Naṣr al-[?] al-Ḥasanī (fol. 1a). Acquired from Brill, Leyden, A.D. 1900.
