Layout: 27 lines per page ; frame-ruled in gold outlined in black inscribed with a blue line.
Description: Written in medium small script (professional hand) in black ink with use of red. European paper. Spine label (horizontal), with inscription in Arabic script reading "ʻIlal al-amrāḍ". Stained with water and humidity; some loose leaves.
Decoration: Opens with a double page of magnificent illumination (fol. 1b-2a), with text written in gold clouds, margins filled with scrollwork bearing stylized floral motifs, executed in gold and colors on a natural ground, and a large headpiece (ʻunwān), in gold and colors, with floral scrolls and title of first text in white (fol. 1b).
Origin: [Kitāb J[ālīnūs] fī al-nabḍ] According to colophon, copied in Dār al-Mulk Shīrāz, Jumādá al-Thānī 1061 [May-June, 1651], by Manūchihr Ibn Maqṣūd (fol. 297a). The rest of the copy is apparently written by the same hand.
Two ownership statements on fol. 1a, with impression of a stamp, one dated 1183 H., the other Dār al-Ṣalṭanah Iṣfahān, 1227 (in the name of ---? Muḥyī al-Dīn [al-M]ūsawī). Impression of a stamp dated 1136 H. on fol. 411a. - Keyword:
