This copy (attributed on front fly-leaf and bottom edge to al-Kirmānī) lacks the first kurrāsah and one or two leaves at the end; the beginning of the chapter on al-mabādiʼ al-lughawīyah in this copy (fol. 13a) runs thus: ... قال مبادى اللغة ... اقول ان النوع الانسانى خلق لا کغىره من الانواع الحىوانىة فانه ىفتقر فى معانىه الى امور ff. 237. 249 x 175; 188 x 130 mm. 23 lin. 14th cen.
