Dark cream paper with pulp and a few lines visible. Fol. 1 is a later addition on glazed European paper. European glazed paper endpapers, with inscription on the first recto. Collation notes on the margins. Two spine labels with inscriptions (vertical), respectively "Tafsīr al-Baghawī" (in Arabic script), and "121" (in Arabic and Western numerals). Ijāzah on fol. 267b. Copy completed on Friday 4 Jumādá al-Awwal 738 [Nov. 28, 1337] by ʻAbd Allāh ibn Maḥmūd ibn Yamīn al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Ḥāfiẓ (colophon, fol. 267a). Ownership statement in the name of al-Muṣṭafá ibn al-ḥājj ʻUthmān ibn al-Muṣṭafá ibn al-ḥājj Ḥanafī(?), with seal (hardly legible) on fol. (i)a. Acquired by Robert Garrett from Brill, 1925, from the books of Murād Bey al-Bārūdī (Beirut).
