Decoration: Illuminated headpiece at opening ; illuminated finispiece with floral designs following colophon with signature of calligrapher.
Binding: Leather over pasteboard (Type III), gilt tooled borders; marbled endpapers; completely split at first gathering
Provenance: Signature of calligrapher in colphon — Ali, from among the students of the famous Ottoman master Mehmet Rasim (= Eğrikapılı Mehmet Râsim Efendi, d.1756). No date of transcription provided. Decoration, dates of master calligrapher, etc suggest early to mid 18th century. Former owner’s mark on opening flyleaf.
