Layout: 15 lines per page ; frame-ruled in gold and black throughout ; ruled for marginal notes on a slant. Description: Rubricated ; some vowel signs ; watermarks (crown; bird with outstretched wings and a crown; roman-alphabet letter "A") ; MS in good condition but several folios are foxed and several are partly smeared with ink. Decoration: Elaborate illuminated headpiece with red, blue, yellow, gold, orange and white. Folios 1b and 2a have gold filling surrounding the lines of text, and a gold floral design in the margins. Origin: According to colophon copied Thursday 1 Shawwāl 1215 in Kūtāhyawī by Muḥammad Shākir ibn Kāmilī Ismāʻīl Afandī (fol. 243a). Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1900.
