Title from fol. 1b (hardly legible, due to mould). The title appears in the colophon (fol. 278b) as: "al-Mujallad al-awwal min Talkhīṣ Sharḥ Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim raḍiya Allāh ʻanhu" ; in a note on fol. 1a as : "Talkhīṣ Sharḥ Muslim bi-khaṭṭ muʼallifih" ; and in a note on fol. 1b as: "al-Juzʼ al-awwal min Talkhīṣ Sharḥ Muslim nfī ḥadīth Rasūl Allāh ṣallá Allāh ʻalayhi wa-sallam".
Collation: Paper, fol. 280 ; 1-20¹⁰ 21⁸ (see mention on fol. 200a: "al-Ḥādī wa-al-ʻishrūn wa-huwa arbaʻ waraqāt") 22-27¹⁰ 28¹⁰ (+2) ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form "al-thānī" (see fol. 10a) ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 18 lines per page.
Description: Written in casual medium large script in black ink with occasional use of red for re-inking ; dark cream thick paper with laid lines and pulp visible ; the first page of the text (fol. 2a) is hardly legible due to mold.
Origin: Autograph copy by the author, ʻAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd al-Qādir ibn ...? ibn al-Jawzī ʻAlī al-Anṣārī(?) al-Shāfiʻī in Aleppo on 19 Jumādá(?) al-Awwal 715 Aug. 21, 1315 (colophon, fol. 278b). - Keyword:
