Collation: Paper ; fol. 288 ; catchwords ; quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals and mentioning the number of the part, in the form "sādisah thānī" (see fol. 48a) ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 23 lines per page.
Description: Fol. 59-66 are apparently later replacements ; rubricated.
Paper: Thin light cream paper with regular laid lines and a few chain lines visible.
Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Sunday 27 Shawwāl 595 Aug. 22, 1199 by Bayān ibn ʻAbd al-Malik ibn Bayān ibn Muḥammad al-Ḥanafī (fol. 287a).
Several ownership statements and one seal impression on fol. 1a, including one in the name of Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd al-Qādir al-Ḥusaynī, one in the name of Ismāʻīl Ibn al-Ḥājj Muṣṭafá Ibn Tājah. Reading statement in the name of Muḥammad ibn ... ibn ʻAbbās ibn Ḥabīb on fol. 288b. Acquired by Robert Garrett from Brill, Leiden, 1900.
