Inscriptions on the pastedown of the upper cover and the first fly-leaf. Inscription on the margin of fol. 2a: "Aḥmad ... Afzarī". Inscriptions on fol. 18b. Seal impression on the last fly-leaf. Inscription "499" using Western numerals on the upper cover.
Layout: 17 lines per page.
Description: Written in shikastah nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. On fol. 1b-8b, the text is framed within two red lines. Light cream glazed paper with laid and chain lines visible. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Origin: Copied in Jumādá al-Ākhir ?65 by Muṣtafá ibn ...? ibn Khalīl. According to Hitti following Houtsma, this should be read 865.
