The text proper starts on fol. 2b, fol. 1b-2a being a preface presenting the text to Sulṭān Aḥmad Khān (Aḥmad I, 14th Ottoman Sulṭān, 1590-1617) and a description of contents by Abū al-Ghayth Muḥammad al-Qashshāshī, written in the same hand. Long note in the margin of fol. 21a-b.
Collation: Paper, fol. 32 ; 1-310 42 ; horizontal catchword on the verso of each leaf ; collation notes in the same hand ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 21 long lines per page.
Description: Written in medium small casual script in black ink, with some use of red. Glazed European paper with watermark. Collation notes in the same hand.
Origin: Copied by Muḥammad ibn Salāmah in Rajab 1292 (colophon, fol. 32a).
Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1900, from the books of Amīn ibn al-Ḥasan al-Ḥulwānī al-Madanī al-Ḥanafī (Medina).
