Bible text starts on recto part way through 2 Timothy II, 22 "pacem c[um] hys qui i[n]voca[n]t d[ominu]m de corde p[ur]o" in 1st column and continues through 2 Timothy III, 2 "Hoc aute[m] scito q[uod] i[n] nouissimis dieb[us] instab[un]t temp[or]a p[er]iculosa er[un]t homines seipsos ama[n]tes cupidi, elati, superbi, blasphemi. Parentib[u]s" in 2nd column. Verse 2 contiues on verso... Used at one time as a part of a binding; text is continuous; bottom and outer margins trimmed. Layout: Bible text written in 2 columns of 25 lines; commentary in 2 columns of 50 lines; ruled in lead; prickings in inner margin. Script: Textura; text in majuscules with commentary in minuscules. Decoration: Initials in alternating red and blue with opposing penwork extending several lines; running title in alternating red and blue letters; red underlining of passages. Origin: Written in France during the 14th century. Former owner: Ernst F. Detterer. Former owner's inscription: la núa buca del Palazzo è nella volta della Cancelleria. Some annotations in margins.
