Briquet 12993 and a croix à deux travers, ct. Briquet 5762) [these two sections were probably separate volumes as indicated by a colophon on fol. 108r and ownership note on fol. 109r] ; fol. 1-108, collation impracticable, but four pages removed after fol. 35 with loss of text... Layout: Written 2 columns in 42-51 lines; frame-ruled in pencil, sometimes very lightly; guides for chapter headings in outer margin, underlined in red; guides for chapter roman numerals throughout. Script: Written in gothic cursiva media in two hands (the break falling after fol. 108); fol. 109-236 in darker ink; headings of the books in red in script of text, chapter numbers in red roman numerals Decoration: fol. 1-108, running headlines in upper margin in gothic capitals in red and black, a flourish in black or red on either side; fol. 109-236, running headings in larger gothic cursiva, underlined in red with a flourish in black ink on either side; alternating red and blue initials; guides for initials in ink of scribe present. Origin: fol. 1r-180v written by Gerard de Scurhoven in 1433, and the entire book willed by him to brothers of the third order of Saint Francis in Zepperen in 1456, colophon on fol. 108r, "Scriptus est hic liber per manus Gerardi de Scurhoven presbiteri leodiensis diocesis pro tunc capellani cure beghinarum opidi Sancti Trudonis et finitus anno domini millesimo quadringentesimo tricesimo tercio...
