Layout: ruled in light brown ink
Script: Written in Italian gothic textualis rotunda media with pointed one-story "a"
Decoration: fol. 1r: blue initial decorated with patterned red flourished 7 lines high, flourishes extending into the margin; fol. 1-44v: simple red initials 2 lines high; guide letters for rubicator present throughout; fol. 1r, 44v (in red), 55r, and 63v, scribe has written "YHS".
Origin: Written in Italy, possibly northeast Italy as indicated by the orthography, by Baptista, signed fol. 45r, in the middle of the 15th century.
Former owner's inscription, rear pastedown, an Ave Maria written in a hand of approximately 1500; fol. 55r and 61r, notes of 16th century in praise of the Virgin Mary.
