Of the [91] leaves, [53] leaves contain music; [38] leaves contain blank staves only. Part book was originally part of a larger complex of manuscripts devoted to the madrigal repertory; companion tenor part to the alto, and four additional partbooks from a second set of books of similar date, copied by the same scribe, now in the Biblioteca Comunale of Civitanova Marche, a small town on the Adriatic coast.
