Collation: Parchment, 51; 110 28 310 4-58 67.
Layout: Written in 26 long lines; text and bounding lines lightly ruled in brown; prickings visible along fore-edge of each leaf.
Script: Humanistic hand in brown ink.
Decoration: Large capitals, paragraph marks, and titles in red vermilion; some red capitals pen-flourished in brown; smaller initials of each line touched in yellow ochre; catchwords in brown and ochre, within decorative frames.
Origin: Probably transcribed around 1500. A version of Aesop's fables in Latin verse, followed by Matthew de Vendôme's poem on the Biblical patriarch, Tobias. This version of Aesop's fables, consisting of two books containing 55 fables, is generally thought to have been written by Matthew l'Anglais, probably around 1175.
