- Text in a neat cursive hand in red and brown; 29-32 lines per page; vertical lines lightly ruled in brown; numbers, paragraph marks, small and large capitals, and underlining in red; beginning of each sentence touched in red.
Contemporary ms. ownership inscription on verso of last leaf: "Liber Cenobii Beatae Mariae Viridis Vallis in Zonia", indicates that the ms. was written in and for the Groenendaal monastery, founded by the great Flemish mystic Jan van Ruusbroek, and visited often by Gerard Groote, spiritual father of the Devotio moderna.
Nineteenth-century English brown buckram on four thongs; bline-ruled borders, with fleurons and crosses stamped in black along edges; gold-stamped spoine title "Evangeliorum et Epistolarum harmonia soec. XIV; red marbled endpapers; all edges gilt.
