Decoration: Fifteen half-page illuminations by at least two artists in a style reminiscent of Maître François, accompanied by full blue and green acanthus spray borders with various flora including thistles, roses, and berries on grounds of different geometrical gold patterns: fol. 15r (angel encouraging John, eagle holding ink pot), fol. 31r (the Annunciation), fol. 57r (the Visitation... 2. Decoration: Sixteen smaller illuminations 5 line high accompanied by an outer bracket border on a clear ground: fol. 17r (Luke), fol. 18v (Matthew), fol. 20v (Mark), fol. 197v (Michael), fol. 198 (John the Baptist), fol. 199 (John the Evangelist), fol. 199v (James), fol. 200r (Christopher), fol. 202r (Sebastian), fol. 203v (Anthony), fol. 204r (Lawrence), fol. 204v (Denis), fol. 205r... 3. Decoration: Two 5-line historiated initials also accompanied by an outer bracket border: fol. 21v (the letter O historiated with angels crowning the Virgin), fol. 26r (the letter O historiated with the Pietà). Gold dentelle initials with white patterning on grounds of blue and magenta throughout. Traced band borders on rectos and versos, facing folios, and on versos of facing folios. Origin: Written in France in about 1460.
