Collation: Parchment, fol. 8; 18.
Layout: Written in 77-79 lines in two columns; ruled in ink.
Script: Written in Italian gothic textualis rotunda formata.
1. Decoration: fol. 1v, drawing of a menorah, 17th or 18th century.
2. Decoration: Genealogical diagrams with roundels drawn in red ink, filled with yellow, blue, and red.
3. Decoration: Alternating red and blue initials; minor initials touched with yellow.
Origin: Written in Italy, possibly central Italy as suggested by the minor initials, in the second half of the 14th century.
Outer leaves formerly served as a limp binding and are covered with numerous jottings: fol. 1r, includes fragments of Italian verse and musical notation; fol. 8v, names 16th century: Giuseppe Lupi, Augustinus Justinianus episcopus, Nicolaus Justinianus, and numerous pen trails in Latin and Italian including prayers and epistolary salutation.
Tipped in at end: A woodcut of Noah's ark by Hartmann Schedel as issued in the Nuremberg Chronicle (German edition, December 23, 1493).
